Frequently asked questions

Can't find what you need? Read our Terms & conditions or message the listing pharmacy directly from the listing page.

What is inventry.ca?

+

inventry.ca is a marketplace that lets verified Canadian pharmacies list, request, and exchange inventory, equipment, and pharmacy businesses with each other. We are a facilitator only — pharmacies arrange, fulfill, and stand behind every transaction directly.

Who can use the platform?

+

Licensed Canadian community pharmacies and pharmacy owners/managers. Every pharmacy is verified by our admin team using its accreditation number and pharmacist-in-charge licence before it can list or transact.

How does verification work?

+

After you register your pharmacy you submit your accreditation #, manager licence, address, and contact details. Our admin team confirms the licence is active and in good standing with the relevant provincial college before activating your account.

Are controlled drugs, narcotics, or targeted substances allowed?

+

Listings (for-sale) of controlled drugs, narcotics, targeted substances, and benzodiazepines under the CDSA are strictly prohibited and will be blocked. For emergency supply needs, a verified pharmacy may post an inventory request under Emergency Supply — inventry.ca acts as a facilitator only. Responding pharmacies share contact via the message thread and complete the transfer directly per OCP / CDSA rules (signed and dated written order, Rx, due diligence). Pharmacies found posting controlled substances as listings may be suspended.

What expiry dating is required on a listing?

+

Drug listings require a minimum of 120 days of remaining shelf life at the time of posting. The platform blocks listings shorter than that and shows remaining dating to every buyer.

Can I cancel or delete a listing?

+

Yes. As long as no offer has been accepted, paid, or completed, the listing owner can delete it from the listing page.

How does payment work?

+

Pharmacies connect directly through the portal and arrange payment and shipping between themselves — the way most pharmacy-to-pharmacy trades already happen. inventry.ca is a free connector and is not part of the transaction. Optional in-portal Payments and Shipping are on our roadmap, but for now there is no checkout, escrow, or label purchase on the platform.

Does inventry.ca guarantee product quality, expiry, lot numbers, or storage?

+

No. inventry.ca does not verify products, expiry dates, lot numbers, cold-chain integrity, or regulatory compliance. The selling pharmacy is fully responsible for the accuracy of every listing and the condition of every product shipped. Buyers should inspect goods on receipt and contact the selling pharmacy directly for any quality, expiry, or recall concern.

What if there's a dispute?

+

Contact the other pharmacy directly first — most issues (wrong quantity, damaged packaging, missing lot info) are resolved pharmacy-to-pharmacy. Because today's transactions settle directly between the two pharmacies, inventry.ca is not a party to them; we can help you re-open a message thread, but the final resolution rests with the parties involved.

How do shortage alerts work?

+

The Shortages page mirrors active drug shortages reported on healthproductshortages.ca. Add a DIN, product, or category to your Watchlist and we notify you in-app and (if enabled) by push the moment a matching listing or request is posted.

Is there a fee?

+

No. inventry.ca is free for verified Canadian pharmacies. No subscription, no listing fees, no transaction fees. Pharmacies arrange payment and shipping directly with each other.

How do I contact a seller or buyer?

+

Use the in-app messaging on each listing or request. Names of pharmacies are visible to verified members; personal contact details remain private until both sides choose to share them.
